Level of responsiveness to treatment is based on a few things: symptom severity, ability to pick up strategies taught in session, and the commitment to follow-through on the use of newly acquired strategies in between sessions. While treatment may start out more frequently in the beginning, the goal is to space out sessions, ultimately leading to termination due to success. Patients typically see clinically significant improvement in as few as 8-15 sessions.

Do you Accept Insurance?

We DO NOT accept most insurances, with the exception of Aetna and United as detailed below. We believe in providing the best treatment possible without treatment plans, frequency of visits and diagnostics being dictated by insurance companies. We are considered an 'out of network' provider, however, most insurance companies are willing to provide some level of reimbursement to you for the services sought. If interested in seeking reimbursement, please let us know so we can provide you with the appropriate documentation.

Aetna: We are able to accept Aetna for the provision of therapy services and psychological evaluations

United: We are able to accept United/Optum for the provision of therapy services and psychological evaluations

Why seek treatment from a psychologist?

Psychologist are trained at the highest level in mental health service provision. After completing 5+ years of graduate work in Psychology, a 1-year clinical internship is required. This is followed by a 1 to 2 year Post-doctoral Psychology Fellowship or Residency that ultimately qualifies the provider for licensure at the doctoral level.
